It’s Wednesday, here’s what’s making news this week:
- Sara Blakely is one of the youngest female billionaires in the world, and she doesn’t take her success for granted. Read an exclusive interview with her about her journey regarding her entrepreneurial success here.
- Ari Horie noticed a lack of women-focused accelerators in Silicon Valley to help early-staged companies. So, she founded the Women’s Startup Lab and found organizations looking to invest in female entrepreneurs, and has been helping lead them along. Read more about her work here.
- We already had a hunch about this but now research backs it: Companies with more women do better. The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology recently released a paper called The Case for Investing in Women, and it’s filled with reasons why women make a huge difference in the workforce, especially when they’re in higher positions. Check out the study here.
