Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes and speakers from the White House’s Joining Forces Initiative, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Army’s Fort Campbell, Army Career and Alumni Program, Soldier for Life, and Installation Management Command, and local government agencies and chambers of commerce for a free veterans employment summit and career forum on Fort Campbell for key Federal & State agencies, influential military leaders, innovators in the business and employer community, and local community leaders.

This event will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Hanger 3 Welcome Home Center on Fort Campbell, Kentucky from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This event will feature remarks from senior government leaders, interactive forums and panel discussions, resources, breakouts on the transition process, tools and best practices for employers looking to hire, presentations from key governmental and military agencies, and networking opportunities and receptions for all involved. All of the lessons learned will culminate in a military career forum in the afternoon.

The summit offers employers and community groups a rare and free opportunity to gather with veteran employment leaders in the public and private sectors. Participants will have a chance to hear from and network with senior officials from the United States government, the White House's Joining Force initiative, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and other recognized military nonprofits as they share resources, advice, and experience.

The summit will feature interactive forums and workshops focused on developing strong veteran and transitioning service member hiring initiatives, answering tough questions and dispelling myths about veteran hiring, and encouraging participants to share their own company or community’s best practices with key government agencies and decision-makers. Employers of every size and community groups from across the country are encouraged to sign up today and take their commitment to military hiring to the next level.

This summit is free and open to all interested military, federal and state agencies, businesses and employers looking to hire veterans, and other community leaders.
