Breaking Down the Barriers to Employment for People with Disabilities

ICW's Karen Elzey participated in a radio show hosted by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce focused on employing people with disabilities. Other participants included a local business owner currently employing workers with disabilities, a local high school teacher placing students with disabilities in employment opportunities, a representative from the Employment and Disability Institute, and Jerry Roper, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, an organization that through the initiative disabiltyworks strives to meet the workforce needs of businesses by increasing economic and employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the Chicago area.
