Introducing the Environmental Help Desk for Business
The new Environmental Help Desk for Business is a resource to help America’s small and medium-sized businesses understand green supply chain requirements, green business certifications, and innovations that can save money while reducing environmental impacts.
Businesses should contact the Help Desk to find answers to questions such as:
- How do I start the green certification process for my business?
- What environmental requirements does the retail industry require for its suppliers?
- How much will it cost my business to meet the environmental standards of the construction industry?
- Who is the organization behind a given certification?
The Environmental Help Desk for Business, launched on Earth Day 2012, is a joint project of the U.S. Chamber BCLC and the Institute for Sustainable Development’s Green Plus program. Staffed by Green Plus professionals, the Help Desk is supported by talented graduate assistants from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
