Apple

CEO Tim Cook has announced Apple is donating $1 million to help relief efforts taking place in Indonesia after the recent earthquake and tsunami.

BASF

BASF SE has decided to contribute EUR100,000 to relief efforts in Sulawesi in Indonesia. With funding from BASF, BASF Stiftung, a charitable foundation based in Germany, will support international disaster relief activities as immediate aid to victims of the September 28 earthquake and tsunami. The donated funds will be used to deploy relief measures in Indonesia such as emergency supplies, sanitation materials and health support.

Chevron

Chevron announces $562,500 for earthquakes and tsunami relief efforts. $500,000 of the contribution comes from the Chevron Corporate Global Community Fund as grants to international non-profit humanitarian organizations Mercy Corps and Save the Children. Another $62,500 is allocated for the emergency response in Lombok, Palu, and Donggala.

Google

Google will contribute $1 million towards relief and restoration work in Indonesia which was hit by a 7.5-magnitude quake and an ensuing tsunami that has claimed over 1,200 lives.

Prudential Financial

Prudential has made a commitment of $50,000 to UNICEF. The donation will go towards recovery efforts after Indonesia was hit by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake and tsunami.

Samsung

Samsung Electronics Co. said it sent US$600,000 to help in the recovery from the recent earthquake that devastated parts of Indonesia. The move came after Indonesia's Sulawesi Island was hit hard by a 7.5-magnitude quake and ensuing tsunami late last month. Samsung said the fund was delivered to the Indonesian Red Cross Society to assist in the rebuilding of the region and support victims in their time of need. The company also plans to open a Samsung Care Center in the region, where residents can receive food or do laundry, and also provide free repairs for damaged home appliances.

UPS

The UPS Foundation announced a $1.5 million commitment to support relief and recovery efforts for the earthquake/tsunami in Indonesia and Hurricane Michael in Florida. Through a combination of cash grants, in-kind transportation movements and technical expertise, The UPS Foundation, in collaboration with its disaster relief partners, will provide urgent relief, as well as support for long-term needs ranging from rebuilding to personal and financial recovery assistance. Last month, The UPS Foundation also committed more than $1 million to assist with Hurricane Florence relief efforts.
