Ann Bailey is Executive Director of Government Relations at Morgan Stanley. In this capacity, she is responsible for US-based international government relations and represents the company before U.S. and foreign governments and manages relationships with international business and financial services organizations as well as international trade and industry associations. Ann most recently served as Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Global Communities, where she led corporate and foundation development. Prior to joining Global Communities, Ann served as Vice President of Global Government Relations for MetLife. She supported MetLife’s international business segments with primary responsibility for Latin America and Europe. Prior to joining MetLife, Ann worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and served as Director, Global Policy. Ann also held roles at the U.S. Chamber as Executive Director of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA) and Director of Trade Policy for the Western Hemisphere.
Ann also currently serves as an Ambassador for USA Triathlon, having competed at the Multisport World Championships in 2017 on Team USA, and has qualified to compete again in 2019 in duathlon in Pontevedra, Spain. As an Ambassador, Ann provides resources, advice and inspiration to aspiring athletes. She is also a former term member at the Council on Foreign Relations. Ann received her master’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University and holds a B.A. from Hood College and has studied at Fundacão Getulio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil, the University of Seville in Spain, and the American University in Washington, D.C. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
