Leah is the Wellness & Health Risk Management Practice Leader for Higginbotham. She brings over 20 years of experience in program development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation, personnel management and relationship cultivation in health and wellness venues. In 2007, she established Higginbotham’s Wellness & Health Risk Management Department and has assisted more than 400 clients in developing customized health risk management strategies. Today, she relies on her not-for-profit and corporate knowledge, academic training and passion for excellence to manage a team of consultants who develop sustainable health risk management strategies and incentive programs that are founded on strong, client-focused relationships. She is a founding Board member of the Worksite Wellness Leaders Alliance, serves on the worksite implementation committee for the Blue Zone Project –Fort Worth and co-chaired Champions in Health. Recognized as an expert in her field, she has presented at numerous professional events, been quoted in The Dallas Morning News, The Dallas Business Journal, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, The Fort Worth Business Press, published in Corporate Wellness Magazine and the Fort Worth Rotagraph and was recognized by The Dallas Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Healthcare 2012. Leah is an active participant in the community and serves as a wellness expert for various foundations and symposiums. Leah holds a masters of science in health promotion management, a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and is a licensed insurance agent. She is also an avid runner, completing Ironman and over 25 marathons/ultra-marathons.
