With over 11 years of experience in Retirement Plan Administration and Consulting, Matt is a part of Legg Mason’s Global Total Rewards Team in Human Resources. Since joining Legg Mason in December 2015, he has overseen the management of employee savings and retirement programs for Legg Mason and its nine affiliated investment managers, designed and implemented a holistic Financial Wellness program, and has played a significant role in modernizing Legg Mason’s Global Total Rewards strategy.
Prior to working at Legg Mason, Matt was a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant at JM Pension Advisory, advising a diverse set of businesses on Fiduciary and Administrative oversight. Matt also gained experience administering Retirement Plans while with T. Rowe Price and TIAA-Cref.
Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Lafayette College. He is also an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) with the Internal Revenue Service, and has earned the designations of Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Accredited Pension Administration (APA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and the National Institute of Pension Administrators, respectively.
