Shelby A. Parish is manager, of Institute for Organization Management, a four-year educational program on nonprofit management of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Parish oversees society partnerships, sponsorships, scholarships, fundraising, and registration system management. She also works on various aspects of the program’s logistics, including catering, transportation, and special events. Parish also manages the Institute summer intern program.
Institute, the industry leader in nonprofit education, is an inspiring and thought-provoking program for chamber and association executives seeking to expand their peer groups, learn about industry trends, and meet some of the country’s most innovative business thinkers. The program, which meets one week per year over a four-year period, is held at five different university locations across the country.
Parish has over five years of experience in the nonprofit association and chamber industries, specializing in vendor relations, event and database management.
Parish is a 2008 graduate of the University of Florida with a B.A. in political science and a Certificate in public policy. She is also a 2011 graduate of Institute for Organization Management and received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential in 2014. She received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2017.
