IBM understands this, so to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) recover after disaster strikes—and to assist particularly following Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria—IBM is offering recovery support to SMBs in affected areas through a partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

IBM Resiliency Services deliver business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities as well as cloud solutions to support businesses across all environments, particularly during this time of recovery. The following two services are available at no charge, through a grant from IBM.

Workshops

Workshop participants will work with IBM resiliency and business continuity experts to start applying continuity planning concepts that can help develop a recovery and continuity-of-operations plan.

Workshop sessions will cover:

  • How recent disasters impacted your business
  • Immediate and long-term recovery needs to consider
  • Building a continuity plan for your business
  • Business preparedness tips
  • and more

The U.S. Chamber Foundation is collaborated with local chambers in Texas to organize the workshops. We’re also working with chambers in Florida, Puerto Rico, and California to plan workshops. For a full schedule, visit our webpage here.

Cloud Services

In addition to workshops, IBM is offering SMBs special access to cloud services. IBM will provide SMBs with direct access to the IBM Cloud, including access to IBM Cloud Hosting services that allow clients to configure bare-metal or virtual machines. Access will be provided free for a fixed period to help SMBs recover using a reliable and fast infrastructure.
