DuPont Water Solutions
As pressures on global water supplies intensify, DuPont Water Solutions leads with a shared purpose to solve global water challenges for the purification, conservation, and reuse of water. Influenced by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, DuPont’s 2030 Sustainability Goals aim to create sustainable innovations that help customers and the world thrive; increase sustainability throughout operations; and ensure the inclusiveness, wellbeing, and health of people and communities. DuPont’s water products purify, conserve, or reuse 25 million gallons of water every minute around the world. DWS projects have, among other outcomes, helped a U.S. auto company convert 90% of wastewater into reusable water, dramatically reduced clean water costs in a Kenyan community, and ended the need for women to walk hours to collect safe drinking water in Serdo, Ethiopia.

In response to COVID-19, UPS directed $21 million to 300 relief agencies and distributed nearly 13 million pounds of PPE in the U.S. and more than 7 million pieces worldwide. The company continues to launch innovations that have a life-saving impact, including the world’s first medical drone partnership, and a last-mile vaccine delivery service for essential childhood vaccines, expanding access to quality healthcare to millions of families and children across Africa. UPS surpassed its goals of providing more than 20 million volunteer hours and planting 15 million trees by the end of 2020, and has just announced new goals of planting 50 million trees by 2030 focused on supporting low-income and underserved communities. Through this new commitment, UPS aims to improve air quality; foster better health outcomes, more job opportunities, and more social engagement; and create safer and healthier neighborhoods.
