The Environmental Leadership Program is Johnson Controls' global philanthropy program that focuses on the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship, leadership development, and diversity. The program began in 2006 in Johnson Controls' corporate headquarters city of Milwaukee, Wis. Since then, the program expanded to global locations including Mexico, Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia. During the program, students developed leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a personal sense of stewardship for the environment. Participants in the program complete projects that range from environmental education to conservation work in parks and natural areas.
