Avoiding or reducing emissions associated with energy use is the starting point for PwC's environmental strategy.
The majority of the company’s scope 1 and 2 emissions come from the energy used in its buildings and data centers. Many of its territories have already achieved significant reductions, such as PwC UK who have reduced these emissions by 85% between 2007 and 2017. In addition, many of its buildings are now certified to environmental standards as a result of leasing or building requirements. Fifty-four percent of PwC US office space is ‘LEED certified’.
