The workforce of today looks quite different. Both mom and dad pursue careers and children have learning opportunities outside the home. Leading employers have identified this shift in family dynamics and recognize that acknowledging it is a winning proposition, both for their business and for America’s future. The changing nature of the workforce and shifting employee expectations provide the business community with a unique opportunity to lead the way in implementing family friendly policies that support their employees and make economic sense for the business’ bottom line.

Access to high-quality early education and child care is not simply a benefit to support working parents and families. It is an important mechanism for strengthening the workforce of today, the workforce of tomorrow, and the local economy.

The U.S. Chamber Foundation's Center for Education and Workforce is partnering with the Association of Washington Business (AWB) to host an event that will highlight the economic case for high-quality early childhood education as a part of the 2018 Workforce of Today, Workforce of Tomorrow roadshow. In addition to great speakers and interesting panel discussions, join Caitlin Codella for a fireside chat on Early Learning and School Readiness with Aaron L. Morris, Director of Family and Community Learning at PBS.

Please join us for this important conversation. For more information and to register for this event, visit AWB's event page
