Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help transitioning service members, veterans, caregivers, and military spouses find employment. With nearly 100 events scheduled throughout the year, HOH has opportunities for volunteers across the country.
We're looking for:
Volunteer Career Coaches to engage in one-on-one sessions with transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses to help them revise resumes, conduct mock interviews, and provide honest and friendly feedback. These volunteers play a significant part in helping job seekers build confidence while preparing to meet with recruiters. Must have proficient skills in communication and writing. Background in HR and recruitment preferred.
Photographers to capture the action at HOH hiring events and capture headshots of job seekers for professional portraits and use on their LinkedIn pages.
Special Event Staffers to provide assistance with employer and job seeker registration, conduct digital check in, administer participant surveys, facilitate data collection, and venue setup and tear down. These volunteers interact with transitioning service members, military spouses, and national employers throughout the day. Volunteers are always needed to ensure these events run smoothly.
