U.S. Chamber Hosts Inaugural Event for Center for Women in Business

At the inaugural event of the Chamber's Center for Women in Business on March 21, attendees will hear two keynote speeches on the importance of gender diversity in driving an organization's success from Sharon Allen, former chairman of Deloitte LLP and Ilene Lang, president and CEO of Catalyst. Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business will present its findings on the status of women in small and medium size companies to complement what is already known in the Fortune 500.

Following Georgetown's presentation, a dynamic group of women executives will react to the research and talk about lessons learned during a panel. The discussion will culminate in a presentation from Laurie Tucker, senior vice president, FedEx Corporate Marketing, who will talk about building your own personal brand and giving tips for helping women be stronger leaders and gain more respect in the workplace.
