Guadalupe Casteñada Campos

Partner, Partner, Accounts and Markets, EY Mexico

Guadalupe serves as EY’s Strategic Growth Markets & Middle Market Leader for Mexico and Central America, focused on entrepreneurship and accelerating growth for high-impact companies.  She is a mentor for Endeavor, New Ventures Mexico, Wayra and Cinépolis Accelerator, and is Advisory board chair for WEConnect Mexico. She was recently appointed President of the IMEF (Mexican Institute of Finance Executives) National Committee on Entrepreneurship for 2016 and 2017. In this role, she will lead efforts and initiatives focused on strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Mexico.

Guadalupe is part of the Mexico-US Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council, and served as Independent Board member of the seed capital investment fund between Mexico’s Ministry of Economy and Nacional Financiera for three years.

Formally in EY’s Advisory Services practice, she has 22 years of financial and IT audit and consulting experience, which has been key in advising companies in their growth plans and needs.

She currently serves as Global Services Coordinating Partner for Cinépolis (4th largest movie theatre chain in the world), GICSA (large construction company in Mexico) and Gresmex (entrepreneurial nanotechnology company).

Guadalupe began her career at EY’s Chicago office, and is currently based in Mexico City.

Guadalupe holds a BBA in Public Accounting from Loyola University in Chicago. She completed a management program at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE), as well as the EY Kellogg Executive Program.  Guadalupe is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has the following additional certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).

Guadalupe has been very actively involved in gender equity and inclusiveness initiatives at EY Mexico.  Her participation has been crucial to strategies that have been implemented locally, including a Gender Equity steering committee and mentoring program for the region.

Guadalupe’s leadership skills have been recognized throughout her career at EY by being selected to serve as member of committees such as the Gender Equity Task Force, AABS (Assurance & Advisory Business Services) Advisory Council and the Partner Advisory Forum for our Advisory Services practice.  She currently serves as member of the Mexico & Central America Partner Advisory Forum.

Guadalupe lives in Mexico City with her 5-year old son, Gael.  She enjoys fitness, including running and yoga.  She also takes pleasure in reading and learning about leadership and personal/human development.
