Mechanical Engineer, Abbott
Rosie Carrion is a mechanical engineer in Abbott’s Professional Development Program where she currently is a production supervisor overseeing assembly of diagnostic instruments. She first joined Abbott in 2013 as a high school intern before continuing to Abbott’s college internship program. She has experience across Abbott’s businesses, including Vascular, Structural Heart, and Diagnostics. Rosie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She credits her father with inspiring her to pursue a STEM career. She was born in Puerto Rico, raised in suburban Chicago and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
