Ruth Fasoldt serves as the Senior Manager, Public Policy for Lyft. Based in New York City Ruth engages with city leaders, drivers and riders to support strong public policy for every New Yorker as they move throughout the city.
Ruth has spent the past ten years advocating for the importance of stakeholder input and understanding. Previous to Lyft, Ruth served as the Director of External Affairs for Link, the most comprehensive, free public Wi-Fi network in the world. Link serves millions of users super-fast, free Wi-Fi in New York City, Philadelphia and Newark. In addition to managing each city relationship Ruth oversaw all community outreach and local partnerships to help make Link a welcome part of each community it is in. Ruth also served as the Director of Membership and Special Events for the Association for a Better New York (ABNY), a coalition of over 300 business, labor, non-profit and political leaders focused on making New York City the best place to live, work and visit.
Ruth holds a B.A. in History from Union College, and Masters degrees in Women’s History and Archives Management from Simmons College.
