Cara Moody was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Pittsburgh, PA with her family in 1983. To further her education, Cara studied fashion design at an art school in San Francisco, then in Paris. Cara completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts. Care returned to the United States and worked got a job in New York City as the lead stylist for a fashion company. After several years in the busy city she decided to return to her hometown of Pittsburgh. In 2006, she established Jupe Boutique, a small clothing store that made its mark as one of the “best new clothing boutiques” in the area.
To make ends meet Cara always worked in restaurants as a server. She met her husband Dennis at a company picnic in 2012. Two years later they had their sweet son, Colton. As that same time Cara decided to close her store. As hard of a choice as it was, Cara and Dennis were also blessed with a beautiful baby boy and focused on him. Dennis, Cara, and Colton lived three years as a loving family when Dennis developed pneumonia, then experienced septic shock, and died after five days in the ICU. The last two years have been really hard emotionally, but Cara has worked hard as a single mom loving and caring for Colton. Cara continues to work as a server and has goals to further her fashion career doing custom designs.
