Deputy Secretary, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development
Eric Kalivoda presently serves as the Deputy Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. He is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana, Arizona, and North Carolina.
During his 40-year career, Dr. Kalivoda has gained experience in the fields of highway geometric design, traffic engineering, highway safety, urban and statewide transportation planning, and public administration.
