Deloitte has long strived to reduce the impact of its operations and services on the environment. In 2008, Deloitte UK established its environmental management system and in 2011 launched “Our Green Journey,” a 10-year strategy to decouple business growth from its environmental impacts.
Flagship target indicate how well the UK division is optimizing their buildings (i.e. using less electricity and gas) and reducing reliance on business travel. Deloitte UK has reduced its carbon emissions by 24% per employee (FTE) since the start of Our Green Journey in 2011, making good progress towards its 10-year target of a 35% per FTE reduction.
