Plenary Session II: The Built Environment
Young professionals not only prefer but require connectivity. They want a city that provides different modes of transportation whether it is by foot, or bike. It is about options. Companies are interested in relocating to areas that are listening to what young professionals want as a lifestyle. Fort Worth has made many strides in this direction to do just that, attract a qualified workforce by making Fort Worth more walkable that encourages an active lifestyle. FitWorth can talk about the school programs that have the children being mindful of nutrition and being active and how it integrates with the cities policies for walkability.
