Where We Are, Where We Are Going: Research Perspective
USCCF’s research report, “Business Success and Growth Through LGBT-Inclusive Culture”, examines the motivations and structure surrounding the adoption of LGBT-inclusive practices by companies. We share best practices for implementing inclusive policies and document the benefits that companies experience when they adopt these activities. The research offers new findings on how companies engage in LGBT-inclusive policies to help retain talent, strengthen organizational culture, and prove the authenticity of their LGBT engagements.

- Conversation Topic: Creating a More Inclusive Community, 3 Years After Pulse with Jennifer Foster, Founding Executive Director, One Orlando Alliance
The Pulse tragedy exposed our vulnerabilities and it also revealed what can be done when we put differences aside and work together. We’ll discuss how Orlando’s community came together after the Pulse tragedy to help our community heal. Participants will discuss changes that participants have seen, potentials for continued growth/evolution and an understanding that a diverse community does not guarantee an inclusive or equitable one, which requires intentional work.

How sport can unify a City and be a leader on societal issues. MLS has a Soccer For All campaign that all the teams get behind using their most visible players.
- Conversation Topic: LGBTQ – Generations of Change with Bill Hertan, Founder, Training Resources International
Discuss how this area of inclusion has changed and what “elders” have to share about their journey. Also, what other generations can share about their life experience and their experiences of LGBTQ inclusion/exclusion. Goal: Engage in a cross-generational dialogue to ensure “currency” for today’s organizations.
