The Future of Innovation
Computers are already an inseparable facet of human life, and yet, society’s relationship with technology continues to rapidly evolve, redefining life as we know it. That progression has led to more holistic technology—driving human progress and advancing knowledge further than previously thought possible.
Supporting the Senses: Adaptive and Assistive Technology
Cognitive computing systems have amazing capabilities to enhance human capacity. With a “brain-like” processing system, that technology can not only see, smell, touch, feel, and taste—but understand our experiences, analyze them, and act. This is the basis for next-generation technologies that support and enable individuals with sensory or physical disabilities and illness. This session will feature organizations that leverage their ingenuity, resources, and business imperatives to build a more inclusive society for all.

The era of viral videos, cyber-bullying, fake news, and hashtag movements has highlighted the need to for a digital integrity and citizenship revival. In response, many organizations have taken a leadership role in cyberspace that will contribute to building a legacy of trust, authenticity, and individuality in the social age. This talk explores how and why all community stakeholders should unite behind this effort.
Cyberheroes to the Rescue! Truth, Internet Activism, and Integrity in the Social Network Era
By the nature of their design, digital communities enable prosocial interaction—inclusive of all people, genders, generations, and ideologies. Continuing the program’s “Leadership in the Digital Community” conversation, this session explores the corporate social responsibility initiatives, private public partnerships, and best practice strategies the private sector can take to better leverage its technology, social media platforms, and presence to foster an online environment founded in education, positivity, and altruism.
