Out of the Shadows in Corporate America
Rob’s talk will focus on the benefits of bringing his whole-self to work and how that directly impacted his team, co-workers, community, and family. Over the last several years, he has become a community advocate, working tirelessly to break the stigma of mental health by sharing his own story of hope, healing, and growth with thousands of people. In 2018, Rob met an amazing Marriott employee who inspired him through a conversation on an elevator to begin to share his story because “you never know what is going on in someone’s life.”
He will also discuss how a new partnership in his company’s global headquarters community is addressing the Mental Health Crisis in an effort to ensure that everyone knows where to turn for help when struggling with a mental health issue, seeks help without fear of stigma, and receives prompt access to excellent care.
This discussion will help shed light on an important health issue too often kept in the shadows. Sometimes all it takes is one moment and one story to spark an inspiring movement.
