We at Macy’s have been absolutely 100% impressed with the quality of candidates participating in these corporate fellowship programs. What a brilliant idea to allow veterans the chance to “test drive” a company and position to see if their selected career path is actually what they thought it would be. This specific transition tool is a win-win for both the veterans and the company’s that select them for a fellowship. 13 weeks for the candidate to “test drive” the company and 12 weeks for the company to conduct an “extended interview” and make an assessment of the candidate. Macy’s has found this to be a tremendous tool to add to our talent acquisition plans, and a smart way for us to keep a constant slate of qualified candidates in our pipeline. We LOVE it!!
