Blog - Higher Learning Advocates, The Triad
At the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, we are engaging a wide variety of business, education, and quality assurance partners on how to build the missing piece of a new triad, one that can provide better quality signals from employers for both traditional higher education programs and non-traditional programs, such as apprenticeships. The goal? To ensure learners have the information they need on which programs deliver the most aligned career pathways, and employers know which programs they can turn to for reliable talent.

T3 Innovation Network Phase One Final Report
This report summarizes and brings to a close phase one of the T3 Network. The report is divided into two parts. Part I focuses on the T3 Network’s vision, guiding principles, and profiles the work groups. Part II highlights the T3 Network’s recommendations, organized as a list of pilot projects that together provide the foundation for an open, distributed, public-private data infrastructure that supports access and opportunity for the American student and worker. The report concludes with next steps and acknowledgements.

Grads of Life_Workforce Solutions
Over two years ago we set a goal of engaging 1,000 employers in the TPM strategy to help them build those partnerships and create sustainable pipelines of skilled talent for their industry. Since TPM’s launch, we have surpassed that goal. Today, more than 1,500 employers across 26 states are using TPM as their strategy to address their talent needs. And while we are excited about the energy within the TPM movement, exceeding our goal is not permission to slow down.

U.S. Chamber Foundation Announces New Funders, Pilot Projects for Job Data Exchange

Press Release_JDX Pilot Phase and New Funding Support
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation announced today additional support for the Job Data Exchange (JDX), an effort to help employers and their HR technology partners more clearly communicate hiring requirements in a rapidly changing talent marketplace. These new funding partners are Lumina Foundation, Schmidt Futures, and Walmart. Google.org and JPMorgan Chase & Co. previously announced their support for the project.

STEM Scholars 2018 Wrap Up
A yet to be released report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation STEM Scholars program reveals student knowledge gains, behaviors, and attitudinal changes across the country. The findings provide an analysis of data from more than 4,000 students in 27 schools across Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Texas. Overall, findings suggest that connecting students’ personal interests and strengths to STEM skills helps students better see themselves in STEM.
