U.S. Chamber Commends White House for Launching 'Educate to Innovate' Initiative

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Backed by a $500,000 grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for a Competitive Workforce (ICW) will lead its members in a national, state, and local effort to strengthen science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, reinforcing the tenets of the White House 'Educate to Innovate' initiative announced today by the president.
 

U.S. Chamber Supports Carnegie Report Calling for Higher Levels of Math & Science Learning

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for a Competitive Workforce (ICW) today praised the findings of a report issued by the Carnegie Corporation of New York-Institute for Advanced Study Commission on Mathematics and Science Education. The report offers a series of recommendations detailing what innovations are needed, and who must implement them—or is already doing so—if math and science education is to be transformed for all students in the United States.
