Luxury Tie Company David Fin to Support Veteran and Military Spouse Employment with Every Tie Sold

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program today announced its first fashion-industry partnership with David Fin, a luxury necktie brand that believes in both quality and supporting veterans. The collaboration stems from the ONEHOPE Foundation’s Social Impact As a Service program, in which David Fin participates.

“We are excited to launch this new partnership with David Fin in support of veteran and military spouse hiring,” said Ross Cohen, vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and senior director of Hiring Our Heroes. “This is a prime example of U.S. small businesses finding unique and innovative ways to support our military men and women as they seek meaningful employment.”

“I founded this company with the goal of producing hand crafted ties while also helping veterans find jobs,” said David Herzka, CEO and founder of David Fin. “At David Fin, we believe that every man deserves to feel proud to put on a tie and go to work every day. My close friend recently returned from active duty in Afghanistan and enlightened me to the situation veterans are facing while looking for work. It really spoke to me. We are thrilled to partner with the Hiring Our Heroes program to help veterans find meaningful work and assist in their transition to the civilian workplace.”

To date, more than 25,000 veterans and military spouses have obtained jobs through Hiring Our Heroes job fairs and more than 1,700 businesses of all sizes have pledged to hire 585,000 heroes as part of the Hiring 500,000 Heroes campaign. Of those commitments, 369,000 hires have been confirmed.

Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment. Working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, Hiring Our Heroes has helped hundreds of thousands of veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment through more than 830 job fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and Germany; a suite of free online career-based resources; and the Hiring 500,000 Heroes campaign with Capital One.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is dedicated to strengthening America’s long-term competitiveness and educating the public on how the free enterprise system improves society and the economy.
