Launched in 2024, our two-week program offers an immersive professional exchange and residential learning opportunity for foreign judges and magistrates who are passionate about strengthening legal systems.

In partnership with The Presidential Precinct, the Judicial Fellowship Program is a professional exchange and residential learning experience designed to strengthen the legal systems in foreign countries by building a cadre of judicial leaders from around the world. 

The 2025 cohort joined us in October for two weeks of programming in Washington, D.C. and Charlottesville, Virginia.

Justice Across Borders: How the Judicial Fellowship Program Is Building a Global Network of Rule-of-Law Champions

This fall, our Judicial Fellowship Program will bring together a cohort of judges and magistrates to Washington, D.C., and Virginia for a rigorous two-week program focused on upholding the rule of law.

  • Learning ExperienceThe program includes interactive workshops, panel discussions, case studies, court visits, and networking events, focusing on critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and a deep understanding of rule of law principles.
  • Subject MatterWe will review judicial independence and ethics, human rights law, combatting corruption, technology in the judiciary, managerial processes, cross-cultural legal exchanges, and constitutional law and principles.
  • Other BenefitsParticipants gain advanced legal training, networking opportunities with global judicial leaders, and exposure to different judicial systems, enhancing their capabilities to lead reforms in their home countries.
