Ben Gruitt is the Director of Sustainability and Advanced Bioproducts at the Corn Refiners Association (CRA) in Washington, D.C. In this position, Ben focuses on advancing sustainable agriculture, advocating for renewable bioproducts, streamlining sustainable supply chain platforms, monetizing biological waste streams, and promoting sustainable models of integrated biorefineries at the state, federal, and international levels. In this role, Ben leads the CRA Sustainability and Advanced Bioproducts Committees.
Before joining CRA, Ben spent thirteen years developing business opportunities in the healthcare industry. He is a member of the Circular Economy Industry Associations (CEIA), the Sustainability Leadership Forum (SLF), the Business Council for Sustainable Energy’s (BCSE) International Policy Committee, the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), and serves as CRA’s lead delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties.
Ben has received a B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University and a MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University.
