Ben is responsible for developing and maintaining FEMA policy and doctrine related to the response mission area. He is currently helping to lead the current National Response Framework update, including the new community lifelines concept and the development of the new ESF-14. He has worked with FEMA for seven years, starting at the agency just a few months prior to Hurricane Sandy. He has supported disaster responses in both planning and operations roles, and is currently rostered as a Resource and Capability Branch Deputy Director in FEMA’s National Response Coordination Center. Ben is a graduate of Providence College and George Mason University.
