Karyn K. MacRae is senior director of Institute for Organization Management, a fouryear educational program on nonprofit management of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. MacRae is responsible for setting the strategic direction and vision of Institute, in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the program. Institute, the industry leader in nonprofit education, is an inspiring and thoughtprovoking program for chamber and association executives seeking to expand their peer groups, learn about industry trends, and meet some of the country’s most innovative business thinkers. The program, which meets one week per year over a four-year period, is held at four different university locations across the country.

MacRae has fifteen years of experience in the nonprofit association and chamber industries, including specialties in the fields of hands-on volunteer management and meeting and event management.

MacRae received her Bachelor of Business Administration in hospitality and tourism management from James Madison University in 2006. She is a 2010 graduate of Institute for Organization Management and received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential in 2011 and her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2014.
