Matt Lockwood is the founder and CEO of LGND, a digital storytelling agency that partners with leading organizations to help good ideas win. LGND launched in 2016 and combines strategy, data analysis, design, technology, video, and marketing to transform complex issues into compelling experiences. LGND’s focus areas include economic opportunity, aerospace, early learning, and corporate social responsibility. Our clients promoting sustainability include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, AARP, Chesapeake Conservancy, the Ocean Foundation, Concordia, Ygrene, and the Solar Energy Industries Association.
Before founding LGND, Matt led communications and product management for the Economic Innovation Group, a public policy organization founded by Sean Parker that drove the creation of Opportunity Zones to address geographic inequality. Previous roles also include Chief of Staff for Google Maps, special assistant to the president of Caltech, and speechwriter for Mayor Mike Bloomberg. Matt received his JD from the University of Iowa and his BA from Georgetown University.
