Leading Whirlpool Corporation’s Global Sustainability team, Ron Voglewede is responsible for developing the strategy and execution plans, focusing on thinking about products in terms of life cycle, sustainable innovation, and compliance system data management. Ron and his team drive a proactive approach to developing novel business models and design practices to deliver sustainable products and services to market that have a positive impact on people and the planet. In addition to his work at Whirlpool, Ron proudly serves as a board member for the Alliance for Water Efficiency and the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana, on the UNEP SETAC Life Cycle Initiative Steering Committee, and as a member of the Industry Advisory Group for the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame. He holds 36 U.S. and several European patents with more currently pending. Ron received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 and received a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1998.
