MBA Case Competition Finalists Announced on October 30

The 2017 MBA Case Competition attracted 105 teams from 42 top business schools.
The final four teams will compete for cash prizes at the final competition in Washington, D.C. on December 1.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation on October 30 will announce the finalists of the 2017 MBA Case Competition, revealing which top business students will compete for cash prizes in a live showdown on December 1.

The second annual case competition, held in partnership with FedEx Freight, attracted 105 entries from 42 top business schools.

This year’s case called on teams to examine the public perception of business and recommend ways to reinforce the message that business plays a crucial role in our society. All teams submitted their case presentations to a group of judges on October 9; this year’s judges included U.S. Chamber leaders, business executives, and members of the academic community.

The final four teams will face off in a live competition to be held on December 1 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Finalists will be vying for nearly $25,000 in cash prizes.

The public is invited to attend the final competition; registration information will be available soon.

A team from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland won last year’s competition, beating out finalists from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University; McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University; and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
