Men Who Step up for Women’s Advancement

September 11, 2012

As we posted last week, David Chavern, CWB founder and president, "gets it." He understands women's amazing potential for growth in the business world and vigorously encourages other men to step up on behalf of women's advancement.

He's not alone. Catalyst, a membership organization expanding opportunities for women and business, has an initiative called Men Advocating Real Change (MARC) where men can discuss issues related to gender equality from their perspective. The MARC blog says: "To be full partners with women in achieving gender equality, men need a space to consider what gender means in their own lives and the role they can play as advocates for change at work and beyond."

The CEO of MGM also gets it. He has been vocal on the issue of men advocating for women's advancement in business. In fact, he's put that into practice at MGM, which has an impressive record of promoting women and other groups. Read about Murren's perspective in the article, Strides for women in business are not enough.

Today, women and men are making decisions in the business world so it’s imperative that men get on board.

Do you know of men who get it? Tell us about it in the comments.
