This month, the ICW monthly webinar is being replaced by a webinar on the Common Core State Standards. This webinar originally aired on June 3rd and is available to download below. If you have any question or concerns, please contact Caitlin Ward at cward@uschamber.com or (202) 463-3171.

ICW and the Coalition for a College and Career Ready America conducted a webinar on the recently released final Common Core State Standards on June 3rd. The Common Core State Standards Initiative is a state-led effort coordinated by the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers.

Currently, every state has its own set of academic standards, meaning public education students at the same grade level in different states may be expected to achieve at different levels. The Common Core will allow states to share information effectively and help provide all students with an equal opportunity for an education that will prepare them to go to college or enter the workforce, regardless of where they live.
