Veterans and Transitioning Service Members Who Attend Hiring Our Heroes Job Fairs Will Receive Coupon to Print 30 Free Resumes and 100 Business Cards

WASHINGTON, DC — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program today announced a partnership with Staples, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS) that will enable veterans and transitioning service members who attend Hiring Our Heroes job fairs to redeem a coupon to print 30 free resumes (up to two pages) and 100 business cards. The offer is also included for veterans who build their resumes on the Personal Branding Resume Engine, a free online resource created by Hiring Our Heroes and Toyota.

“It can be easy for us to take for granted the value of having professionally printed resumes and business cards. Staples is ensuring that will not be an issue for our nation’s veterans,” said Eric Eversole, vice president at the U.S. Chamber and executive director of Hiring Our Heroes. “This is yet another example of a company stepping up to the plate with a gesture that can have a significant impact in helping our military men and women find meaningful employment.”

Veterans and transitioning service members can utilize the Staples offer by registering for a Hiring Our Heroes job fair online or by registering for a fair on-site. The coupon can then be redeemed at any Staples store nationwide. The offer is valid through December 31, 2014.

“We are honored to help veterans and transitioning service members by teaming up with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes program,” said Damien Leigh, senior vice president business services, Staples. “Veterans can get their resumes and business cards printed at any of our stores across the country through the Hiring Our Heroes program.”
