Alyssa Hjembo
- Senior Director, Virtual Events, Hiring Our Heroes
Alyssa Hjembo serves as senior director of virtual events for Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. In this role, she leads the strategy, design, and execution of virtual workforce development and hiring initiatives that connect transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and National Guard and Reserve members with meaningful career opportunities.
With extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, talent strategy, and digital event innovation, Alyssa oversees a portfolio of national programs that bring together employers, industry leaders, and military-connected talent. Her work focuses on expanding access to career readiness resources, strengthening employer partnerships, and developing scalable solutions that help the military community successfully navigate career transitions.
Alyssa is passionate about helping military-connected professionals identify career pathways that align with their skills, experiences, and goals while supporting employers in building effective talent pipelines. Through innovative virtual programming, she works to create opportunities that drive economic mobility and workforce success.
Alyssa holds a B.A. in History and minor in Journalism from Pensacola Christian College and lives with her family in Virginia.
