EVENT

7th Annual Building Resilience through Private-Public Partnerships Conference

The 7th Annual Building Resilience through Private-Public Partnerships (PPP) Conference will take place July 24—25 in Washington, D.C.

Preparing, responding, and recovering from catastrophic disasters requires a cross-sector approach. In 2017, we were all reminded of the devastation natural and human-made disasters can bring and the imperative need for preparedness. To engage partners across sectors in this conversation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation supported by its Federal Partners will host the 7th Annual Building Resilience through Private-Public Partnerships (PPP) Conference. This year’s conference is putting the private sector in more of a leading role, represented by the new title.

Past PPP Conferences fostered increased engagement with the private sector around disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. This year’s event will focus on the collaboration required to help mitigate the effects of natural and human-made disasters. The conference will examine best practices among all sectors coming out of the 2017 disaster season, and the opportunity for the private sector’s continued support to build a culture of resilience.
