Coordination Webinar for California Wildfires and Other Long-Term Disaster Recovery

Tuesday, November 27, 2018 - 2:00pm to 2:45pm

The deadliest and most destructive wildfires in California’s history have displaced thousands. With more than 250,000 acres burned and the fires still not fully contained, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation organized a coordination call with first responders and emergency service organizations who shared an assessment coming from the affected areas and current needs for immediate response and recovery. In observation of #GivingTuesday, the coordination call highlighted ways to support the California Wildfires response, as well as the long-term recovery efforts following recent disasters across the country. This briefing was provided to the business community to learn more about the current situation and hear how the private sector can support the recovery efforts.
