Military Spouse Employment Workshops - Carlisle Barracks, PA

Join us for our Military Spouse Employment Workshops at Carlisle Barracks, PA. This event is free and is open to active duty service members, Guard and Reserve, veterans, and military spouses.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), U. ► 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - LinkedIn Master Class 

Learn valuable tips to create or improve a LinkedIn profile and stand-out in the digital crowd. 

 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Elevator Pitch Workshop  

Small break-out groups where spouses will learn to craft a personalized elevator pitch.

 10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Break

 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Personal Branding Workshop

Spouses will learn how to brand themselves using HOH tools and tips from hiring experts.

 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch provided; Free LinkedIn Headshots   

 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Resume Lab Pt. 1   

Training and Q&A will be provided for spouses with follow-up questions on a two-day workshop in January 2019 on one’s resume.

 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Salary Negotiations  

What Am I Worth? Calculating and negotiating salary and benefits when starting out or starting over.
