Join us for two days of career development for service members, veterans, and military spouses in Montgomery, Alabama. 

On February 27, a networking event will connect job seekers with vetted employers, community leaders, senior military spouses, and other job seekersat a special catered reception. Attendees will gain valuable insight on career planning and how to stand out as a candidate.
The next morning, join us at the Teague Arena for a free employment workshop for job seekers as well as a free presentation for employers focuses on best practices for recruiting, hiring, and retaining veterans and military spouses. At 10:30 a.m., join local and national employers for a hiring fair for veterans, military service members, guard, reserve, and military spouses.

This Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop is led by HR and workforce professionals and covers a variety of topics including resume building, networking, and interview tips, taking into account the job seeker's military background and lifestyle. Hiring Our Heroes digital tools are also integrated into the workshop curriculum. Immediately following the workshop, volunteer career coaches will help you develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create a more effective resume.

Employers are invited to attend a Brunch & Learn sponsored by USAA prior to the hiring fair. Our trainers will provide insight on how to brand your company as military friendly, how to find the right veteran talent, and how to keep them engaged in your workforce. Brunch will be served - free for employers, recruiters and HR professionals.
