We encourage your organization to share the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Small Business Readiness for Resiliency (R4R) Program with your networks. Below, you'll find sample language to use to help spread the word about this important initiative.

About the Program

Developed in partnership with founding sponsor FedEx, the U.S. Chamber Foundation's Small Business Readiness for Resiliency (R4R) Program empowers small business owners to proactively mitigate the risks posed by disasters.

With additional support from Allstate, American Express, and Fiserv, the program helps small business owners prepare for disasters and offers quick-turn relief funding of $5,000 for those prepared businesses after a state emergency order or state disaster declaration is made in their region.

How it Works

Step 1: Complete the Preparedness Checklist

Download FedEx’s Emergency Preparedness Checklist for Small Businesses (available in English and Spanish). You can download the checklist here

Step 2: Take the Eligibility Quiz and Register Your Business

Once you’ve completed the preparedness checklist, take this quiz to check your program eligibility. If you meet our program requirements, register your business in the R4R database.

Step 3: Apply to Receive a $5,000 Grant

Our team will closely monitor state emergency orders and disaster declarations. Should a disaster occur in your area and your business meets the program criteria, we will reach out with instructions on how to apply for a grant.
