- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, with founding partner Vistaprint, has launched the Save Small Business Fund, a grant program to provide assistance to small business owners impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. That’s one of the requirements to restart the economy and get millions of Americans back to work in the wake of coronavirus, according to many of the experts who’ve shared their thoughts on this topic in recent weeks.Transition is always challenging, but for the approximately 100,000 service members projected to transition out of the military in the next six months, their transition may be particularly difficult.The CARES Act allocated $350 billion to help small businesses and nonprofits keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. The administration soon will release more details including the list of lenders offering loans under the program. In the meantime, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has issued this guide to help organizations understand what to expect and prepare to file for a loan.
