WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation today revealed the finalists for its 2025 Citizens Awards—29 organizations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership in addressing society's most pressing challenges, from fighting hunger in vulnerable communities, to delivering critical aid in times of disaster, to strengthening democracy through civic engagement. 

"In an era of rapid change, American businesses continue to meet extraordinary challenges with bold, innovative thinking," said Michael Carney, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. "This year's finalists embody the power of business to drive meaningful and lasting impact." 

Awards are presented in nine categories, celebrating the variety of ways businesses strengthen communities and improve lives. This year’s finalists are:  

  • Best Corporate Steward: Large Business: Chick-fil-A, Inc., Hy-Vee, Inc., Mattel Inc. 
  • Best Corporate Steward: Small and Middle-Market Business: Deaf Services Unlimited, Mission Mobile Medical Group, SprintRay, Inc. 
  • Best Education and Workforce Program: Ascent Funding, CSX, Dollar General 
  • Best Community Improvement Program: athenahealth, Chicago Fire FC, FedEx Corporation, Grand Rapids Chamber 
  • Best Community Resilience and Disaster Response Program: Ford, Hilton, United Airlines 
  • Best Economic Opportunity and Empowerment Program: The Allstate Foundation, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, The PepsiCo Foundation 
  • Best Health and Wellness Program: Edward Jones, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer 
  • Best Sustainability Program: Dow, Johnson Outdoors, Norfolk Southern 
  • Best Civic Engagement Program: Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Odessa Chamber of Commerce 

Winners of the 2025 Citizens Awards will be announced during the Business Solves conference Oct. 28-29 in Washington.
