We are facing divisive times—from social media to politics. It has seeped into our living rooms, social media, and cubicles. Productive discussion has come to be the exception rather than the rule. Kindness is a powerful tool in shifting this paradigm. How can we affect positive change within the workplace? And can that change trickle into our communities?

Born This Way Foundation, which was co-founded in 2012 by Lady Gaga, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation may seem like unlikely collaborators, but we share a belief that people – and the organizations we form – can be a powerful force for good.

We’re coming together with a simple call to action: Invest in kindness. Let’s build stronger workplaces that foster and cultivate compassion, where teams are more productive and employees feel valued and respected.

Workplace Kindness is a cultural ethos that encourages everyone in an organization to foster inclusivity, empowerment, and respect.

Many companies are already on the cutting edge of this issue, and they are seeing the dividends that come with a focus on kindness.

Join us on November 17, 2017 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Washington, DC to learn from business leaders, academics, and community partners on why they are championing kindness in the workplace and how you can foster it in yours. Topics to be discussed include:

  • How do we create a cultural shift towards kindness?
  • How do we engage employees at every level to empower kindness inside their companies?
  • What is inclusivity and what are the best practices to achieving it?
  • How can you make the business case for kindness in your workplace?
  • How do you create an environment for safe, honest, and meaningful discussions?

Kindness is priceless and it makes a powerful impact—together, we can work to put kindness front and center.

Join us on November 17 for this free event brought to you by Deloitte.
