Problem

Childcare centers often have minimal resources. Many centers end up closing not because of a lack of desire, but because they lack business education on the policies and regulations of the childcare industry. Organizations often have to navigate the regulatory and business environment on their own, without support. The Maryland State Child Care Association (MSCCA) seeks to provide a simple, useful, member-based collaborative association for childcare centers in Maryland.

Solution

The MSCCA offers a center-based membership, extending membership to any employee of any center that pays the MSCCA membership fee. As part of the membership, the MSCCA offers several critical resources, including access to professional and business training, collaborative conferences held throughout the year, and discounts on additional training. The MSCCA also offers a Passion for Excellence Grant, offering money to pay for education and professional development of member organizations. The MSCCA also highlights and promotes various laws that benefit childcare providers.
